Masonry Brick Buildings for Project 3

This is an industrial building in Gardeners Rd, Mascot. At a glance it appears fairly simple however there are decorative patterns within the brickwork. Bricks are used on edge above windows and doors as well as framing the signage, creating a contrast to the repeated Strecher layout elsewhere. Splay headers act as the window sills, softening the rigid angle evident in all other edging.  There is also a decorative panel centred in the top half of the wall, protruding slightly from the structural masonry.

503 Pitt St Sydney. This is a multipurpose building containing cafes as well as offices. It has many decorative features, and is an impressive building when standing below, not only because of its size, but because of the careful brickwork.
Dogleg brickwork appears to be used in the columns to create cylindrical like structures in each corner of the building.

Arches decorate the window and door openings featuring a keystone and every few courses protruding slightly creating an interesting texture over the entire building.
